Also, as an interior house painter myself, I am constantly and consistently teaching clients how to see color with different lighting, outside reflection and wooden flooring reflecting up on the walls and corners- it's something they never consider, and they often wonder why the wood looks "red" or anther color after polyurethane, especially if it's against their kacki wall color! It's just something they never consider when purchasing wooden floors and stairwells.

Hi Jacob. I have chantilly lace on my kitchen cabinets. And I have simply white on exterior of my home. You have a great eye to notice the subtle differences in hues! At first both of these colors look so much alike. But you are right about simply white being just a tad warmer.

Jacob, I have completely overwhelmed myself searching online. We need to paint the garage interior of our new house. It's currently matte white and filthy. The garage has an unusually high ceiling (maybe 15 feet) and 2 East facing windows (usually with the blinds closed) for natural sunlight. I just want a cheery neutral that keeps the space bright, reduces the show of dirt (unlike the current matte white) and won't look pink in natural light. We are open to a greige. Our garage storage cabinets are dark gray with chrome doors. Specific color suggestions would be a big help.

Hey Jacob, you are pronouning the name incorrectly. Remember the "Big Bopper" song, Chantilly Lace. I think that is the correct way to say it. You are saying Chantalla.

Thank you for your great video. However, i love to do the flooring in my kitchen, shiny, black, and white checkered. The natural lighting in my kitchen is a bit dim. Should i do the cabinet colors, Shantilly lace, or Dove white?

Can i use chantilly lace for exterior? My house is SW facing. I will do soffits and fascia white but only couple window trims I want to use SW iron ore. I dont want a white that has any yellowish to it. I like the crisp and clean white.

Why are you so down on Chan”TILLY” lace? Any paint color is fluid with accessories and light reflection. I’m pretty certain I see a blue undertone.

I used this for ceiling and trim only, and it makes everything else pop because it’s a color that doesn’t change. I’m going to use it in another home that I’m remodeling.

Hi Jacob, great video! Love the side by side comparisons. We will paint our walls Chantilly lace, but are struggling with the shade of white for the kitchen cabinetry. Our quartz countertop is mostly white with a grey undertone (gold and taupe veining). Should I be matching my cabinetry color to the white/gray of the quartz or to the Chantilly lace walls?

So my home is very small and my island is a nude wood with the island top white quartz and the other cabinets are white and countertop is the same white quartz. Throughout the house I have warm wood what color would work best for artificial lighting and small space. I try to stay away from dark colors because it makes the space smaller. I’m very clean and organized so light colors work well for me. Any suggestions in color for my walls I’m struggling to find the right light color? My flooring is an earthy tanish flooring.

I’m looking into painting my kitchen cabinets River Reflections by BM but my granite counters are a darker design, would that make my kitchen to dark? It does get pretty good natural lighting in there.
