Ive worked on a factory line, its soul crushing, because you feel like a complete robot. I could not do it for long and kept jumping around from job to job until I finally landed on the job I have today, working on my farm and I love it. On my farm I work at my pace, wake up when I want, and walk to work at my pace. Working for yourself is a peace few know.

I've done factory work like this in the US. Every single person had depression. Nobody spoke to each other. There were no windows and even if there were it would just show another factory's wall. It truly was soul crushing and the sort of job that spoke to you saying, "you are nothing and nobody cares if you die, they'll replace you."

The thing China is not short of is people. There's no incentive to make jobs efficient because creating jobs is a priority.

I used to do jobs like this for an agency. Just pop an earphone in and listen to some podcasts. The best way I can describe the feeling is that the day happens to you, you are not actively participating in the day. It's just there, and you're there, and you just do the one thing.

I like jobs like these. If I could still work this would be the kind of job I'd prefer. I like repetitive tasks where I know exactly what is expected of me and I don't have to go at a high stress pace.

I worked factory Jobs during summer break as a university student, mostly early shifts. I went to bed with a Bad mood knowing what was expecting me in a few hours. The only thing that kept me going was that it would only be for 4-6 weeks. The people working there have been doing this for nearly 10 years....

i was once got layoff from instant noodle factory because they got new hightec machine but not long after that i was got call back to work because the productivity is low than manual labor and the machine can't detect some defect that easily found by skilled worker

I used to work in a linen factory in the uk where you are just putting sheet after sheet after sheet and a lady would come round with a clipboard too see if your numbers are low and if so they’d take you into the office and complain to you. It was just a conveyor belt that was never ending, you had a bright light infront of your eyes and no windows to see outside only warehouse lighting. Also no one spoke a single word to each other as we are all in robot mode and had to stand at these machines for 10+ hours a day

As a teenager my favorite jobs were in factories where you could almost automatically do the repetitive work and think about other things. I preferred it over service jobs.

I haven't been to China but I have worked an assembly line job where I'd do something like put a sticker on a box or slide a paper slip into a box every 5-30 seconds. Easiest and most boring $20 an hour for 8 hours a day. The highlight is having a bunch of colorful personalities around you, I swear the most boring jobs have the most interesting employees
