now that is genius marketing. who could guess that a cutesy pink fashion game would have such dark and scary lore. you build up your game to be super popular, make a silly april fools update and continue that update to take a dark and scary turn. its honestly genius!

So I just sat down and translated the binary at the end of the maze :)

I feel like when Halloween comes this year there would be a big lore drop of lana💀

Here's my thoughts and ideas on the lore:
I believe that Lana is behind the Awakening. I also believe everything stated in the story is misleading. Allow me to explain.

Lana is the true villain that people will overlook:
There are hints hinting towards that Lana is probably faking this. First of all, the cabinet where the diary is contains a darker truth. In one of the drawers, there's a note which states, "Find me :) [insert the LanaDoesNail's ID]" it's written in a darker red. Meanwhile, the diary had been written in bright red and just says "FIND ME" as if it was a call for help. I find this note suspicious because of its unnatural switch-up of Lana, I believe Lana is manipulating us. Tricking us into thinking she's scared, fearful and just wants to go back to her regular life. Keep in mind that this is not the final time you'll see the ":)" being used.

Secondly, the group. It feels like your applying for the Awakening. The "protect Lana" part feels extremely suspicious – it's not like Lana is an important leader or a special figure... Right? Well... I believe that Lana is the leader of the Awakening. If you have a leader you want to protect them. She's just tricking us into thinking "gigi = bad!!! lana = good!!".
(Another thing is that she says "nail tech" in quotes, which is very suspicious).

Next, the diary. The diary is so off-putting. Allow me to explain. What if Lana created a clone of herself, placed the diary and ran away into the forest (her lair) waiting for people to come searching for her to lock them away? I mean, how did the diary get there in the first place? How does Lana even have access to her diary if she's locked away? Wouldn't the doppelganger just throw away her diary? This is a trick. No way Lana's diary would just be randomly placed there. Unless if something is going on behind the scenes...

"Final activation"
"Travel with four, but never alone."

3 people are missing. Lana is "missing". Make that 4 people missing, the description states to never travel alone. If Lana is behind the Awakening, she would want to lock away multiple victims. The more the merrier. Why would Lana want to lock away someone who's alone? It's better if you have multiple people to lock away.

Lana's text is always in red. First of all, the notes, (the notes in third person) are written in red. Here's some of the notes:
"While I wish I was sorry, I'm really not."
"She has no strength left."
"I hope you understand why I'm doing this."
"While she is okay now, the medical bills and the pain left on her family's debt."

A lot of these messages are written in third person (some are in first person). Keep this in mind, Lana's diary entries are written in the same red colour as the notes. Her global announcements are also written in the same red. Red represents aggression, anger and revenge.

Gigi's global announcements are written in white. Representing innocence and purity.
I believe the diary entries are misleading. This is to trick the people into thinking "Gigi is evil! I must stop Gigi and save Lana". This is exactly what Lana wants, to manipulate the people – if she manipulates the people, the easier it is to lock them away. The notes are also revealing how Lana feels (demotivated, tired, etc) and how she doesn't care (she's not sorry). The demotivation part can make the person feel bad for Lana and encouraged to save her. (Again, if the person is manipulated, the easier it is to lock away the person).

I joined the game at a certain time. Gigi and Lana were making multiple global announcements and polls. One of them being "Who do you trust?" with the options being Gigi and Lana. Lana then made a poll which stated "Do you trust me? :) ~ Lana" which is extremely suspicious because Lana is scared, terrified and just petrified. So her switch-up shows the dark side of her. She also stated that Gigi has evil plans. Gigi states that Lana is the evil one via the global announcements feature.

The real Lana doesn't make an appearance, it's almost as if she's plotting something...
Now, this is what I think happened:
Lana faced tough times in her life. She was tired of it and created the Awakening for the sakes of her own benefits and to neglect her own problems. She joined a popular studio due to its secrets and wealthiness to help parts of her family. Gigi is thankful for Lana joining the studio, she feels like Lana can be trusted, so she tells Lana the secrets of the studio. (Keep in mind, Gigi has stated that her intentions are pure). Lana spreads the plans and the whole studio is in a terrible state. Lana IS the evil that lurks. Since the whole studio is in danger, the people become vulnerable. Lana kidnaps and locks away Diarben, Sub and Moto. (Symphony of Knocks – It's not just Lana locked away, it's the ones who've wronged the Awakening | Badge icon: a door). She locked away Moto, Sub and Diar behind the Symphony of Knocks door. After she did that, she was unsuccessful of obtaining a fraction of the studio's wealthiness. So, due to Lana's natural evilness, she begins to lock away more people that was involved in the studio to be able to help her in her aid of treating her family. Gigi fights back but she's unsuccessful. Lana creates multiple clones of herself, one of them being in the salon, leaves the diary and flees away into her lairs where she waits for her victim to arrive.

Those are my thoughts and theories, im siding with Gigi's side on this one. I don't trust Lana.

“Saudade” is a word in brazilian portuguese. Idk if the devs meant it to be interpreted that way, but there isn’t an english word that translates it literally.
“Saudade” is the word to describe the feeling of when you miss something or somebody. It’s a beautiful word, to be honest. You can say you “feel” saudade of your father, your dog. You can feel “saudade” of a moment (which is kinda tied to nostalgia), you can feel “saudade” of school.

Theres a new update in the 'missing' part of the '...Saudade' group! There are two new missing accounts. If you go to Sadie's account, there will be jumbled letters and it can be decoded through the Caesar Cipher. It says, "my death was planned by lana, not evil. The Coterie is not just some group to help her, they're her sacrifices."

to add to the beginning, in the old map the real lana had been doing nails, but if you looked closely at her face there are tears in her eyes. there were some pictures and one caption with a picture of fire said something like 'i will burn this place down.' thats also why i think the update had been set because she might've set the salon on fire. the journal/book/diary has been changed and it says submiscy has been holding her, not gigi. also there was a note on her desk in the old map.

EDIT: the thumbnail of dress to impress is quite dark now. there is a text saying 'will you ever find me?' in a creepy font. the girl in the photo has no face and dark blood is smithered all around the thumbnail.

More hidden things!! : if you look under some of the drawers from the diary in one of them you can see a paper. It may be hard to read but it says a player id. It will lead you to another Lana Account.
