Why Jakarta Is Sinking, And What’s Being Done To Stop It

According to the World Economic Forum, Jakarta is one of the world’s fastest disappearing cities. Jakarta has come up with a US$222 million project called National Capital Integrated Coastal Development, which includes the construction of coastal dykes and a giant seawall to protect the city from rising sea levels.

Apart from climate change, incidents of flooding persist due to land subsidence in northern Jakarta. This can be attributed to excessive extraction of groundwater from aquifers, by those who do not have access to piped water.

Can the capital of Indonesia be saved from sinking further? Insight finds out.

Despite Jakarta Sinking in a geographic context, the governer that chosen by some "close-minded" voters did NOT have any capabilities, hypnotized by "God with do the work" mindset, and knowledge to handle complex issues in Jakarta (ANNIES BASWEDAN). To stoo it: Dont use ground water, and make a water company that serves water filtered from ocean so yeah the sinking will stop but i don't know if it will work
