As someone who has done acupuncture quite a few times and has to do it every few months due to a chronic back injury, I will say it's quite effective. Just needs to be done by someone who has a lot of experience doing it. Otherwise, it can be dangerous. I also recommend getting a massage in the same area a few short minutes after. Can help relieve additional pain
