To all the people trying to 'interpret' the song. Please understand this is a COVER of the song. It's originally sung by a band called Sam Sham and The Pharos. Dude sings it. It's about a rough guy telling the girl he likes that he might seem bad- but he's a good guy.

For everyone who wonders: she actually took a part in a movie called Red Riding Hood, and she had a main role of Little Red. I would tell you why she sings about the wolf as if he's a human, but I don't want to throw spoilers, so if you're curious then go watch a movie ;)

What if the little red riding hood is dangerous and cunning from inside but wears a mask of innocence and beauty to charm strangers in her trap. What if the big bad wolf is her next victim even when the wolf think that he is dangerous for the girl but actually it’s him who is walking with the girl to her place...right into the trap. What if the little red riding hood is putting her charm at work and that’s why the big bad wolf turned good for her.

Personally I like to see the song as a metaphorical song for Sapphic girls. she says "you might think I'm a big bad wolf" meaning that she isn't really one (a predator) but is sometimes seen as one so she the line "keep my sheep suit on" would mean pretending to be straight to not scare the other girl away/fit in and that she's in love with "the Little red ridding hood" but she doesn't act on it, trying to keep herself satisfied being friends/walking together while still protecting her [and so on..]

Unpopular opinion here, but the first time I heard this song I thought that it was about a girl who's in love with another girl in a very homophobic town. She's afraid of what Little Red Riding Hood will think of her if she finds out, so she just tries to protect her from the "predators" who want her, like wolves, without letting her know she's one of them.

It's not actually about the wolf falling in love but it talks about how some guys play innocent to get the girl to trust them and then they become an unsuspecting @t the wolf is just used as a symbol.It's especially brought out in the words:"I'm gonna keep my sheep suit on, 'tilol I'm sure that you've been shown, that I can be trusted walking with you alone."

Some of people here think it's about rape. I mean, you have a free interpretation, but the lyrics just don't fit it. I mean, "even bad wolves can be good", "I would like to hold you if I could, but you might think I'm the big bad wolf so I won't" is this a thing that a rapist would do?
I think that this wolf is actually fighting his strong sexual desires because it fell in love with Red.

Is the song really creepy? It kinda sounded rather sweet when the wolf was like "Even bad wolves can be good" then he was just, it's okay maybe you'll see me the way I see you soon, if not then oh well, it hurts but I'll just pretend I don't have these feelings and remain your friend and protect you
