So many unique things I loved about this series - the ambiguity, the world building, amazing aesthetic, and another thing I always mention when I'm suggesting it to others - the lead Akane is never sexualized and is a real strong female lead without making it gimmicky either.

Akane's character development is just 💪. like her eyes in season 1 is like of newbie but in season 2 it became sharper because of her experience.

Just finished watching this. I was expecting it to be good, but I wasn't expecting it to be THAT good. Akane's character development, the perfect characters, how their realtionships evolve, wow, I'm speechless. Easy 10/10.

The writing of the show makes it a solid 8 - 9, but when you add the soundtrack and pacing it becomes an easy 10. The music in this show is so good, the second time I watched it I was literally crying when watching the action scenes and the important reveal moments.

They have made 2 more seasons, and some movies and a game. Although these sequels take place directly after, with some slight time skips, they feel like completely different works each time, some focusing on action and some on conspiracies. I would say the first season is the only flawless one though. It feels like a perfect standalone story that can be adapted into any medium and still be amazing. The following seasons are pretty cool, but they feel a bit like side quests.

I remember watching psycho pass season 1 so long ago and i remember when I watched it I was extremely fascinated by how good this anime was, this I can tell anyone who has doubts about it one of if not the best anime I have ever watched, in terms of plot and character it surpassed everything I had watch at the time at least by miles, though I watched it on netflix back around 2014/15 I still remember it as one of the best. but after all these years I have one thought that bugs me, should i watch it again, now from a normal persons point of view of course however when nothing beats the experience of watching it for the first time and you just cant replicate that so I'm thinking if I should either leave it alone and remember it as one of the greatest anime I've ever watched or watch it again. Believe me if there was a way I could erase my memories of watching those episodes i would do it without giving it a second thought. in summary one of if not the most goated anime ever definitely recommended by me

You absolutely nailed this review bro, I just finished season 1 & it really delivered. It’s one of the few Anime that made me rethink life in general & truly invest in the characters. Makishima gave you this Joker kinda vibe & a few moments where I kinda rooted for him 😅. Kogami is HIM but idk if he’s in season2, it’ll be shame if not . 9/10 for me ❤️

# Why you should watch PSYCHO PASS


This scene still goes harder than anything I've ever seen from an anime. Even if you don't care about the characters, you can still feel exactly the same tension as Akane on first watch, you can't tell what's going on, why he can't be judged, why his CC goes down as he kills someone, what's going to happen to akane, what kind of person this makes her, if she's a latent criminal because she tried shooting the gun. All in the span of a 3 minute scene, the entirety of the structure falls apart, as well as the perception of akane.
And all the while, she's asking the same questions, the same confusion, the same terrified daze.
It's beautiful.
And it's only the 11th episode of 22. Its a slow burn until then, but it is 100% worth it.
