R.I.P DINO VALENTI...What many people don't know is that this song was written by the brilliant Chet Power, real name of the former vocal leader of Quicksilver Messenger Service whose artistic name was Dino Valenti, He composed this song and after being arrested for possession of marijuana, and having to sell it for US$100.00 to be able to pay his lawyer, Dino wrote the incredible song about me de Mercúrio, a pearl of music Dino died in Santa Rosa CA his son has a band and sings his songs, This was the trajectory of my generation in the 60s, in that epic period when I still lived in Rio So, at 19, I went to America.

I was a kid when I first heard this song in the 1960's.
It still remains my most favorite song.
I love the new redition .

I just found out that Dino from Quicksilver Messenger Service wrote this fabulous song that Jesse Colin Young recorded back in the 60's or maybe even early 70's that was all about what we could all be in an ideal world back then...if there ever was a song that should be re released some 50 years later for the world's population to listen, dance and act upon then this would be the ideal song. Someone out there should bring it back to this cruel, crazy n beautiful world of ours!🎶

Listen up world n RIP Dino and Jesse, u left us with a timeless song, I thank you both🎶.
