Sometimes you buy like an entire like 5 book series just to realise that it isn’t as good as booktok said it would be.
And then you feel the second hand embarrassment for the characters after the author massacres a scene.
And then you cry because you just started getting to the series after the time you can return it because of your expansive tbr pile in the corner of your room that keeps growing.
