In Sweden, all insurance companies pays for the cost of the "helmet" if you have an accident, since that is much cheaper than paying for all the medical treatments of a cracked skull, or the lost of a family member!

This is a bit misleading, you can obviously use it many times but it can only deploy once, but that is true for all bike helmets, if you have an accident with the normal helmet it will crack and you have to get a new one. Also as others have pointed out insurance companies tend to cover the replacement. They are very widely used here in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Fair enough. The serious crashes I've been in involved rolling and potentially deflating impacts on the edge of the road or with vehicle components. MIPS helmet seems to get the edge, although for a single impact accident a Hovding would be amazing. Currently only 119 USD delivered price on EBAY, in choice of hi-vis or other colors. Stay safe.

i can imagine some people with this helmet after an accident with the airbag activated doing that fly kiss pose 😛.
