आंकड़ों के मुताबिक 2019 तक approx 38 millions लोग HIV के साथ जी रहे थे| WHO के अनुसार, HIV Global public health issue बना हुआ है जिसने अभी तक 33 million लोगों के जीवन का अंत कर दिया है| करीब 6,90,00 लोग HIV के कारणों से 2020 में और 1.5 million लोग HIV से नए संक्रमित थे| साल 2020 में दुनिया भर में 27.4 million HIV positive लोग ART (Anti Retroviral Therapy) ले रहे थे|
लोगों के मन में इस बीमारी के लिए बहुत अलग-अलग धारणाएं है| यह बीमारी कई सालों से है| पर अब तक हम इसका पूरी तरह से इलाज नहीं ढूंढ पाए| लेकिन क्या इतने वर्षों के बाद भी यह बीमारी मौत का पैगाम लेकर ही आती है या फिर researchers and doctors ने ऐसा कोई रास्ता ढूंढ निकाला है जिससे कि अब HIVऔर AIIDS से डरने की कोई जरूरत नहीं ?
