The debut album of this solo project of Artem Dmitriev (Howling North)

An incredibly harmonious and mellow atmospheric black metal, showing some post and blackgaze structures along the way.
The songwriting is breathtakingly beautiful even if it has a very present and vivacious drumming which is quite rare in the atmospheric subgenre that is overpopulated with dull percussion.
The sole carrier of this ingenious melody is the guitar, and let me say it is quite formidable to see all the twists and turns in all the layers it builds the melody until the melody’s closure comes.
The vocals fit the wintry setting of black metal that melts into the background, are the least noticeable of all instruments as they also get lost in the massive instrumental parts, but are still good. However, these drone and atmospheric regions, siphoner of souls’ parts are the strength of this record and undoubtedly will captivate many which enjoy this sort of languid and immersive black metal and are not shy to soak them into post and gaze elements.
