"Think a little bit of aggression is acceptable" fails to capture the reason many people are minarchists. Its not a matter of theoretical preference, its a matter of necessity by the nature of political economy.

Anarchism has as of yet never been shown to be any more than a utopian ideal. Most market-minded people will readily agree that such a system would be highly dynamic and have a rich society. But its not clear that they are feasible from a public choice perspective.

Governments, like it or not, are emergent phenomena as well.

Most intellectual minarchists recognize that they are whore-anarchists. But they also recognize that focus on ideological theory only gets one so far in terms of outcomes.

Great stuff, however I do prefer to be philosophically inconsistent and defend Minarchism, how about that? Peace!
