Interest in Prichard’s case peaked in mid-2021 after a TikTok video highlighting his condition went viral. A month after the video surfaced, Colon underwent successful surgery to repair a collapse in his skull.

Its now 2023 and I just discovered Prichard Colon through a YouTube short more people are starting to notice him even 8 years later legends never die and Prichard will definitely never be forgotten 🙏💯

I went to middle school in FL with Prichard. Super nice guy! Told us he was going to become a professional boxer. Moved away after middle school to do it. Our entire graduating class followed his story and kept track after his accident. His recovery is so inspiring. I wrote a screenplay a couple of years ago that I've dedicated to him. I'm a man and I shed a tear while watching this video. I don't know how much more my heart could go out to somebody than it does to Prichard Colon. He was a good looking kid with a bright future, and then had everything taken away by a boxer who was knowingly throwing illegal rabbit punches. He deserves a real miracle and another shot at a normal life. I pray that miracle arrives for him someday.

I only just heard about his story, but this made me very emotional. I'm angry at the countless people responsible for allowing this to happen. Disgusted by the announcers who joked and laughed at him. This could've been so easily avoided. This seems to extend past just pure incompetence, and honestly reeks of blatant corruption.

I truly hope Prichard can reach maximum recovery for what this horrible injury allows. Unfortunately, it seems that he will be forever in this vegetative state though. Brain damage to this extent is permanent.

I heard his story a few years back and I checkup on his progress every few months. I feel a lot of compassion for the man and his family and I want nothing but love for them. I understand the brain is incredibly complex and it’s permanent damage but I really hope he can improve and that he’s happy. His mother and family are truly incredible for staying by his side, that’s true love right there never giving up on someone even if the outlook isn’t that good. I hope his family finds joy in life too they truly deserve nothing but the best.

I met someone who also was in a coma and then a vegetable, and they said he would never walk.
Not only can he walk, but you would never guess anything had ever happened to him- ever. Complete recovery!!

just found out about this situation today, this is truly one of the saddest stories ive heard, and possibly one of the scariest. i had no idea this was a thing that could happen, and i could never wish it upon anyone, especially not someone with a bright future like prichard colon had, but now, hes been stripped of that future unfortunately. i am glad hes recovering, his family is amazing, and i hope prichard has the best rest of his life, god bless his soul 🙏🏿
