So my mum recently came to Malaysia and she gave her honest opinion based on her first impressions of the country.

This is not correct or incorrect and is just her honest opinion!
And we all have different views and opinions on things..and this is just hers!

What do you think!? Let me know in the comments!

Hi Proud Mak Cik and Mark, even i know you are here for quite sometimes, but I still want to wish a warm welcome to Malaysia. It is difficult for Malaysia to remain a varied community; it has taken a long time to achieve today's alignments, which are still insufficient, and there are several loopholes throughout. The ideal approach is to accept everything in the community and maintain the alignment.I'm glad your video addressed some crucial issues, and it's excellent for everyone to listen and to be more aligned in order to build a stable culture. Definitely its taking sometimes with continues awareness. Aside from Malay, Chinese, and Indians, Malaysia has various communities like you in our society; we welcome everyone to be here and accept the facts that diversity is the key for future life.Nothing in Malaysia will affect your values as a proud Brit. It doesn't matter who is better; what matters is “Acceptance”. I feel that because of its underlying of history in Peninsular Malaysia, which has a high acceptance of people living in diverse groups together. 😊

Mark, there is all kind of mosquito repellents available. Please buy some for your mum.
And, we have tea farms in Cameron Highlands. Maybe she would find a replacement for Earl Grey Tea.

As a Malaysian, when I heard what Mark' mom dislikes, I felt the same way too—such as not on time, throwing rubbish wherever, talking on the cellphone with the loudspeaker on, splitting and so on...😓

So she likes Earl Grey tea, ask her to go to the Secret Recipe outlets. The serve variety of teas in a tea pot. Weekdays, 3 - 6pm during tea time, very good value.

Wearing a Lakers cap with a Yankee-esque (pin stripes, "New York") is like wearing a Spurs/Chelsea/Arsenal jersey with Man U/City shorts. C'mon man! (Or worse, an English cricket jesrsey with an Aussie Baggy Cap.)

Love your content and I have a serious (age appropriate) crush on your Mum.

5:07 I can guaranteed that was Indian nationals or Bangladeshi or Pakistani, we locals are so annoyed by their culture that use loud speaker for communication and entertainment. We locals usually use headphones earphone or similar. There are some locals do that usually senior citizens as they not comfortable with hesdphone or earphones.. Hehe that's what I called experienced as someone traveling daily on buses and metros

ha ha! I agree with all the dislikes, I grew up in Malaysia, and now live in US, when I go back to visit, mosquitoes annoy me, lack of punctuality that comes with the laid back mentality frustrates me, I see some areas with garbage, and spitting all over the place grosses me out. And some even pick their teeth in public, I see some particular immigrants (won't mention which group lol) do it in US too, ugh! But all the great things do out weigh the bad, so there you go.
