Hey Terry, my bad. The 'ignore text wrap' is in 'Text Frame Options' (cmd B) :-)

Hello Terry white, your videos have been very helpful in learning many softwares, thankyou for all your videos... I followed your live caption for photos in InDesign. While opting for live caption in InDesign if the photo is small and caption is lengthy it fails to enable text wrap and it happens to squeeze the text eliminating the in between space of words of caption and appears like "picturecaptionlive" instead of "picture caption live" please help decoding the error

For the caption text box 'hiker' that was put on the image, hit Cmd-B to open Text Frame Options dialog and select 'Ignore Text Wrap'. Then the Preference 'Text Wrap only affects beneath text' could have been avoided.

I would recooment using [Object] - [Text Frame Options] - [Ignore Text Wrap] to avoid text hiding behind other frames with word wrap. Then you don't need to move layers around to get the right on top.

Hi. Is there maybe a possibility to wrap the text around (the other a little bit bigger) text? Not talking about wrapping around the text box, but around the shape of the (bigger) text letters?

I tried that by converting the large text to object and it works. However I heard that printing houses do not recommend converting text to objects.

This is why I would like to wrap text around text ('s shapes). Any ideas what to do?

Thank you.

Cheers and thanks for this tutorial! Is there an option to paste in an existing path as a custom contour?

Hi Terry or whoever can answer this :)
at 5:59 you said CMD click Object would open the file in a corresponding programme that can edit it. So photos open in photoshop. Do you mean pngs or jpgs would open in photoshop? Because when i try to cmd click a jpg photo in indesign it just opens in preview mode.

Hey I have put text on a series of circles and there is an object on it. I have applied the text wrap but still the text lies behind the object. Have no idea why this is happening. Definitely this is not a case of normal square textbox

dude, you could just remove the background in id. bringing up ps was totally unnecessary. cmd + opt + shift + k and then in the drop down menu select “detect edges” & lower the threshold until you are satisfied.

some people don’t have access to ps. it’s super unfair to use another program if you don’t have to.
