The reason Honduran people look so different is because they have several native tribes that are different racially. Mayans, Tolupanes, Misquitos, and Garifuna are native tribes but look different from one another. Some are brown, some are copper, some have that aboriginal color, etc. then you have waves of immigrants everything from Spanish, Irish, Jews, Palestinians, and Africans. Even black people differ themselves from one another. You have the Garifunas that were African slaves that escaped their captors before reaching their destination. Garifunas tend to be more African ethnic looking. The other group of blacks are "Negros Ingleses" which were freed slaves from England. These guys tend to be more like the bloodline of NFL players since they have great physical features and usually have their slave owners names like Smith, Thomas, Johnson, etc. They pride themselves on not being directly african since most today are biracial. Then. you have the Misquitos which are short and stout. Then you have "Caracoles"(slang term which means "seashell") which are those blacks from the Bay Islands that aren't garifuna nor are freed slaves; they tend to be biracial and usually speak English with a Caribbean accent. There were parts of Honduras where you have predominantly white people like in the department(state) of Santa barbara which was migrated by Irish in the mid-1800's. They was once also once an Indian migration when freed indentured slave workers from nearby countries that replaced African slaves after England abolished slavery and wealthy english sugar cane plantation owners were left scrambling for laborers.
So there's everything in Honduras.

Among Latinos, they know Honduras women are gorgeous, non Latinos are barely exploring that, hopefully stays that way, we don't need another Medellin, also the country is 90% mestizo, the islands were under British rule for a couple hundred years, the address is rather easy in San pedro sula, if you know the quadrants, when they say 9st 8th Ave NO, it means northwest, and then the house number ex: casa 1234 9 ave means the house is on 9th Ave 8th st, means the closer street is 8th, stay safe.

My husband is from Honduras. Him, my one year old son (at the time), and I went to visit the country in 2018. His family lives in Tegucigalpa, so that is where we spent our time. Everyone was kind that I met. The city surprised me in that I expected there to be much more vegetation than there was. It was mostly dirt where trees or grass should be. When we traveled to the coast for a day I saw lots of vegetation and hills. I am not sure why the city did not have much. Since we stayed with family I never paid attention to how different the addresses were there.

1:07 Honduran people ARE very friendly. I also travel a lot and here in Central America, I'd say honduran people are second after guatemalans when it comes to being friendly. We make a lot of noise, we are happy, we are welcoming and, most importantly, we are noble. Sure, you'll find some idiots somewhere, but overall, people will be welcoming.

2:15 Yes there is a lot of MESOAMERICAN culture in Honduras. Mexico and Central America share ancestors, so a lot of what you'll see in Mexico, you'll see it here. Also, we used to be a part of the Mexican Empire before becoming the Federal Repubic of Central America and eventually dividing into the five nations we now know.

2:47 Yes. Bachata is the most listened genre. Then we can mention reggaeton and punta. Since we are very caribbean-like, the noisier the music is, the better the party will be. I don't like any of those genres (except fr punta), but I can understand why my fellow hondurans love them.

4:02 Beaches and coral reefs are the international standard for honduran tourism, but the western side of the country, the mayan part, is also visited by many, mostly europeans.

4:32 A way to make tourism more flexible is to allow USD into the accepted currencies, so yes, the more touristic the place is, the more USD will be accepted. Tegucigalpa does not accept USD.

4:42 Bay islands used to be British, so english is the main language, but you'll also be able to speak english in the rest of the country. Garifuna is completely unknown in mainland Honduras. Main languages are spanish and english.

5:48 Honduran women ARE gorgeous. In my adventuresi've noticed honduran women are underrated, as they not only have nice facial traits, but also interesting body types. They are also goofy, some are intelligent, and pretty much all of them will be a good companion. Can't say the same about us honduran men haha

7:31 Yup. Nobody uses actual adresses here. We are used to simply mention reference points or street names, but never an actual building number. For instance, an adress here in the surrounding areas of Tegucigalpa would be: Km.8 1/2 (kilometer or mile in which the building is located), RN 25 (name of the road), "plaza blue moon" (building name)

That's pretty much it. I've enjoyed this series and hope you come back for more. Try Copan Ruins, Talgua caves or Lancetilla Botanic garden (second largest in the planet). Also come to the capital, there's cool museums and you'll find that the city is different from what we are all used to see, as it used to be a mining town named Teguz Galpa (silver mountains), which makes the city very unique, with narrow streets and very steep terrains. Crime is high only in the slums, but you won't find much danger in downtown areas.
