My younger cousin is 10 y/o, and she has a brother who is 6 and HE is the golden child. The parents literally do EVERYTHING for him, and they let him fuss over everything. And when she wants something, they say "You're too old for this".

I feel really sorry for her.

My little sis is the golden child. She's 7, (she turned 7 like 4 days ago) and I get being a little more lenient on the younger children, but it gets to a point. An example of what would go down is she was in my room playing something on her tablet once, right, and I decided to look at what she was playing. It was a copy of a Roblox game except it just had Squid Game free models plastered everywhere. Like, literally down to the last lines of code it was the same exact game except for that. I was like, "Hey, this is actually a copy. I know where to find the original, " but she refused to get off. I explained how she was actively giving money to somebody who did zero work to get it by playing that game, and how she was losing to the people who made the game like this on purpose to make profit off of little kids. I even wanted to go into how this would affect her in the future, but she still refused. So, I turned off her tablet, didn't shut it down, just turned it off so I could get her to understand what I was saying, and I now understand that move was a little much.

Her response, though?

She kicked me 15 TIMES and threw the tablet at me. She's mad lucky I have a high pain tolerance, otherwise I would've immediately told my parents and she would've been in MASSIVE (you know what else is massive) trouble, but I decided to stop trying at that point. I didn't want to wake up my parents, and it got brought up later when they were awake. Somehow, they were on HER side? What? I'm the ONLY person in my family fighting for my little sister's well-being and against the exploitation of little kids for profit. She is LITERALLY an iPad kid. I was raised the same way and LOOK HOW *_I_* TURNED OUT! YOU DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO USE ME FOR REFERENCE? DID YOU GUYS GENUINELY THINK THIS WAS GOING TO WORK? "OH, I JUST WANT HER TO BE QUIET" "WELL SHE'S HAVING FUN" WELL CLEARLY SOMEONE FORGOT TO ACCOUNT FOR THE FACT THAT HER BRAIN'S PRACTICALLY MADE OF *C L A Y* RIGHT NOW! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY THINGS THIS LITTLE SPECIMEN HAS SAID THAT SHE DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT BE SAYING AT HER AGE? AN UNCOUNTABLE AMOUNT, THAT'S HOW MANY, BECAUSE SHE'S ALREADY GETTING INSANELY INFLUENCED BY THE INTERNET! YOUTUBE KIDS DOESN'T DO ANYTHING! IN FACT, I'D LIKE TO ARGUE IT MAKES THE SITUATION WORSE! IT'S ALREADY GOTTEN SO BAD THAT SHE CAN'T SPEND LITERALLY 10 SECONDS TO FIND A GAME BECAUSE SHE'S ALREADY ON ULTRA-DOPAMINE SQUID GAME BROOKHAVEN RP 100K ROBUX ESCAPE DIGITAL CIRCUS SKIBIDI TOILET, AND SHE'S TOO FOCUSED ON IT, AND WHEN YOU TAKE IT AWAY, SHE IMMEDIATELY, *I M M E D I A T E L Y* RESORTS TO VIOLENCE! BUT NO, I, THE FAILED IPAD EXPERIMENT, AM IN THE WRONG FOR ATTEMPTING TO SAVE HER FROM A FATE I COULDN'T ESCAPE MYSELF? ARE YOU GUYS EVEN PARENTS? DEAR GOD! Okay okay look that was bad and all, right, but get this. We have an older sister who had absolutely terrible behavior, and my parents often talk about how my little sister acts EXACTLY like her. Like, dude, if she's acting like the same woman you kicked out of your house, THEN MAYBE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?! BUT NO, SHE'S AN ANGEL AND STILL YOUNG, SHE DESERVES ZERO PUNISHMENT! LIKE, SERIOUSLY, FIX IT BEFORE SHE BECOMES WORSE YOU DENSER-THAN-LEAD LACK-OF-A-HEAD EXCUSES FOR PARENTS! IT'S NOT THAT HARD!

I have to carry the weight of me and my little sister on my shoulders because my parents forgot to and I guess I'm wrong for that. But they're the parents, and I'm older than her, so they're objectively right and I can't ever attempt to help her.

Edit: I didn't think anyone was gonna see the biggest vent I've ever written, but thanks for the support. My parents are finally trying to do something about it for once, but what they're doing isn't really fixing the main issue, so I still have to keep attempting to help my sister with this.

She deserves to get a job better than Apple itself and not share a penny with her family. May she have a wonderful life and always celebrate her birthday with many friends and get adored by gifts. May her family develop bad habits such as smoking and taking drugs. May her family live on the streets penniless and may she live to be older than 100 and never get called a brat ever, EVER again. My younger sister has a condition that makes her pull her hair out in stress or anxiety
Bit one day a girl found out that she wore a wig because it got so bad...
So guess what she did, she ripped it off of her head it the middle of class, and everyone hurts out laughing at her, but she was sick because of her condition, so I told the principal, her teacher, and there councils
And guess what they do... Nothing, except giving the girl a referral, and the billing never stoped to the point she had to be home schooled. And they didn't even talk to the students... Eventually she met up with the same girl who pulled her hair off... And guess what she did... She, the bully, ended up with cancer making her bald. Talk about karma
