type conversion and type casting are exactly opposite to eachother. type conversion is widening the data and type casting is narrowing the data.

1. Implicit/Type promotion/coercion
2.Explicit /Type casting

Why is long(8 bytes) converted to float(4bytes) implicitly???

Implicit type conversion means when we are changing data type of smaller data type into greater data type.Sorry to say but this is the right definition

How can we convert Boolean value into character, it can't be converted because it's value is only true and false and it's don't have any range.
