Water Tracking Behind Gutters - EASY REPAIR - Gutter Minds

Recent installation and new build that had storm water tracking behind the gutter system onto fascia and down soffit during Hurricane Nicole in Northeast Florida. Came out during a break in the Hurricane to inspect the work and correct the issue. This is a common ‘drip edge’ defect we find a lot where the drip edge does not extend enough past the drip edge to properly ‘kick’ water away from the house and off the fascia into a gutter system or away from the home if no gutter is installed.

Easy repair that can be done by homeowner with some roofing flashing from a local hardware store or by your roofer or gutter installer. Here we are extending the drip edge to properly divert water into the gutter system.
