The highly anticipated Bon Jovi reunion with Richie Sambora seems to be facing significant hurdles. Despite initial excitement and talks of a potential comeback to celebrate the band's 40th anniversary, recent developments have cast doubt on the reunion's future. Richie Sambora has expressed his willingness to reunite with his former bandmates, emphasizing the importance of doing it for the fans. However, unresolved issues appear to be major roadblocks.

I'd appreciate it if you took a moment to follow :)

Jon knows EXACTLY why Richie had enough. 6 letters=SHANKS! He slithered in & Jon only thought about himself. When you walk into a recording studio to lay down your lead guitar tracks & the only 2 guys in the room are Bongiovi & Shanks & they say "oh Shanks just recorded the guitar section..." what would you do? Like Richie has always said, Jon wanted to be a Springsteen. He never wanted to be in a band. During Slippery Richie wasn't officially a member of BonJovi. He strung Richie along. Bongiovi plays this innocent, soft spoken part...but Richie not only could play he was a genius at song writing. Jon couldn't let Richie go. Jon & his family held all the power in that band. I was a solid Journey fan for years until Perry left. I became a BonJovi fan when Slippery came out & I saw them first time at Cal Expo in Sacramento. They were pretty rad. I became a HUGE fan after that concert. I've seen them so many times live for every album tour. Traveled far & wide to watch them play. Stood in line all night for tickets to go on sale at the ticket box. At $20-25 per ticket back then, I could afford to follow them around. I was fortunate one night to sit on stage, with just Richie playing solo. Oakland Coliseum. That was a special night. Keep the Faith tour. Me & my sister always got front row. Nowadays you can't afford or stand in line for front row tickets. I saw Richie, Tico & David for Stranger in this Town album at the Warfield in SF. Billy Falcon opened up for Richie. What a fantastic show that was. The documentary is based on Jon's memory & ego. It was Jon's project, not Richie's. Responding by saying "he could have said anything he wanted" is laughable! I don't think you realize how experienced Richie was when Alec told him to audition. Richie's contacts were vast. He was an owner of a bar where he had anyone & everyone come play. I'm so tired of Jon & Dorothea acting like they are far superior than the other men in the band. I stopped listening to Jon the moment Richie left. Richie is the one with the rich voice which enhances Jon's voice. It's no wonder with his voice failing him why he would want & need Richie to return ASAP. How you liking Shanks now Jon?

RIchie Sambora just said very recently in Allison Hagendorf show that it is time that he re-unites with Jon. No question about it. He also said he flew out to Jon's house and they talked and discussed several things. He said it's all contingent on Jon's voice. That Jon doesn't want to go out there with his voice not up to his (Jon's) standards. Richie said, when Jon is ready, he is ready. They'll make it happen. This is all something to create and talk about. Bottom line is they are brothers and have been through so much together and because of that will come together again. If Jon feels good to go that is. It will be fantastic when they do.

Jon shouldn't have put his faith onto John Shanks.

Once John Shanks entered the picture, it was the beginning of the end.

That comment that JBJ made about Sambora not being like The Edge says it all. JBJ was the band leader and saw Sambora as replaceable, but Sambora saw them as partners. That had to lead to hard feelings.

If I were Richie, I wouldn't want a reunion. I watched the whole documentary, and it was all about John, not the band. They bash Richie

Richie is no saint, but that’s an unfair response from Bon Jovi, considering the limited amount of screen time they gave to Richie. It was obvious what that docuseries was about, and it wasn’t Richie’s perspective. I regret watching it, because I used to love this band. Now I just see an aging, narcissist, obsessed with himself.

When you have to have your entire audience sing all your high notes for you, then it is time to give up....

I absolutely never expected a reunion like so many others did. There time was absolutely outstanding and done.

I thought Richie left the band while on tour and he left because his daughter needed him and his wife, Heather Locklear was losing her mind as well. With all of that going on when you are halfway around the world I think it would come down on anyone to leave the band for their family's sake, Richie had several stints in rehab and maybe the pressure of his family and addictions forced him to leave. Who knows. Now they have to stop acting like big babies, respect themselves and each other or there will never be a reunion of Bon Jovi and Sambora.

Back in their prime, Nobody's voices blended better than Jon and Richie.
Richie was more than just a guitarist. He was easily the most talented in the band.
And while Phil X is a great guitarist, nobody can replace Sambora's vocals and song writing ability.

Separated 11 yrs ago, they are in their 60's they have given so much and they really have nothing to prove at this point. They can do whatever they want either separately or together. Let's move on

Bon Jovi hasnt been able to truly sing for years now. If I was Richie, I wouldn't be coming back unless Jon can get his voice back together....

Sounds like Jon and Richie need to sit down with a mediator and hash this out privately rather than bickering in interviews. Its sad they've gone this way like so many bands before them, they always seemed stronger than that. And to only speak twice after all those years together... I get the impression they still care for each other a lot so its pretty sad they won't just sit down and talk, put the 'rockstar' thing to one side for an hour or 2 and have a grown up conversation.

RICHIE got out at just the right time. Nothing left to do, nothing left to prove. Writing was terrible after BOUNCE and Crush.

I think Sambora held his problems to himself, and one day he just couldn't go out of the door. Wonder if Sambora just talked it out and said that I feel sick and cannot go on tour, would they have started a new tour? Maybe not, we know that a great deal of Bon Jovi success is Jon himself, that pushes them all to the limit. For the most time its good, but in this case, he pushed Sambora over the edge with work load..

Who cares? I am tired of aging rock stars acting like children. Who really cares of Bon Jovi gets back together?

The fact that JBJ continued to tour with the equivalent of a compound fx to his singing voice is unforgiveable. He knew he couldn't do it but did it anyway. At least Richie wasn't ripping off the fans, he took the high road and bailed when he thought it was time. Rumor was even then in 2013 JBJ's voice was already toast.
