The Philippine independence was nothing but a claim by a small group of revolutionaries of Gen Aguinaldo and not a nationwide movement. Aguinaldo self interest brought down his obsession to rule as president as his military became weaker after his order to kill the great filipino revolutionary leaders Bonifacio & Gen Luna. Emilio Aguinaldo was a failed leader in the Philippine revolution and also loss to Quezon during the Commonwealth presidential election. Emilio Aguinaldo is not a hero. He followed the dictates of filipino pro-american member of his revolutionary committee. Pedro Paterno prefers the american to ruleour nation than filipino revolutionary leaders. Paterno uses Aguinaldo to eliminate the great men Bonifacio & Luna. Emilio Aguinaldo is a weak leader. He failed big time.
