15 Supercar ICONS that Defined Supercar Driver | 4K

In this episode you join us at Donington Park with fifteen of our favourite supercars, cars that we think have defined the Supercar we know today, for a cover feature of issue 50 of the Supercar Driver magazine. We wanted to take you behind the scenes for this milestone magazine and show you what goes off on these shoots and have a bit of a nerd out over the cars.

We have three groups, each group defines a period of time that was monumental for the evolution of the Supercar, from the mid 2000s through to peak modern supercars. The cars present all ignited our passion and excitement for supercars. Each group moved the game forward in a big way and provided a platform and landscape for the supercars we know today.

As we approach our 15 year anniversary we wanted to celebrate these cars. All the models have earned their place in Supercar (and Supercar Driver) history.

The most obvious omission ( 2003-2006) Porsche Carrera GT.

Nissan GTR was the first supercar ahead of the 12C Which brought turbos and tech.

Firstly, what an epic video! This video has so much nostalgia factor. I think pre-2019 supercars are way more special, so I completely agree with you guys. On another note (not a criticism at all), I think Gallardo and GTR were 2 big misses. Based on the few hypercar misses, I suspect there is a "hypercar icons" video brewing as well (I hope) :).

If you had a budget of £200k, how in hell do you decide which you want to own. I wouldn't even know which era I'd want.

I think if there is one car that changed everything, that redefined the modern “exotic car” it has to be the 458. And the Speciale is the swan song, the best of the 458 line. Nothing before, and certainly nothing since has had that broad an impact on the genre.

One thing i want to point out is that the gtr is moreso the infection point not the 12c

The third group is terribly put together. How are you comparing a 2017 Lambo Perfomante to a 2013 Ferrari 458 Speciale?
