Soderbergh always tries something different, and I really appreciate his willingness to push in new directions.

The final scene is heartwrenching and tragic. I've been pondering this film for the last two days. This is a great story, told unconventionally, about the traumatizing effect of death on a family. Lucy Liu made some brilliant choices at the climax of this film. Soderbergh did a great job, and IMO, it stays with you long after the credits roll.

The film was awesome and it touched some rarely used perspectives; if people can't see past complete scare/horror, then tough luck for them.

Thanks for the review. I loved this movie. The music is one of the best I've heard this season. I think there is plenty of subtexts, lots of detail. I would label it as a supernatural drama. I thought the atmosphere was excellent. The camera movement is very well done. It reminded me of A Ghost Story, which I like better. Again, thanks for the review.

As always great review! I thought the movie was more of an engaging family drama (in a good way) than a horror and being a father of 2 daughters the ending was more terrifying for me personally.

I am so excited to see this movie. Unfortunately I live in a small Midwest town, and none of my local theaters are showing it. The closest one is three hours away, so I’ll have to wait until it comes out where I can stream it or buy it 😭

I’m going to go see it tonight! I think I’m the type of person you’re talking about, I like atmospheric slow burns that build tension and make you think. I’m intrigued by the non traditional POV and I feel like I’ll enjoy the ride without jump scares or a big twist or over the top payoff. We’ll see! Thanks for yet another interesting video 🎈

I didn't feel super strongly about it when I first got out of the theater, but as I thought on the ending it made me circle back onto all the details and what I missed. Made me like it a lot more. Definitely worth seeing if you're into ghost stories and soderberg

Soderbergh seems to balance a lot of his mainstream fair with semi-experimental projects (Bubble, 2005 comes to mind), and this is VERY different from what i've seen of his. DEF looking forward to Presence!!!
