Roblox is notorious for promoting BAD roblox games and hiding GREAT hidden gems and other underrated games. Today, I'm exploring why exactly Roblox does this and how it lets these Bad Roblox Games Thrive and Hidden Gems Fail!

this one actually didn't take too long (well, usual amount per minute but seeing as this is not even a 5 minute video.. erm.. what the sigma) AND THANK GOODNESS because creatively i must admit i am feeling a bit burnt- NOT BURNT ON MAKING VIDEOS, I just need a creative reset LOL.

also on another note- I found a video that COMPLETELY changed my perspective on editing 🤯🤯🤯(but like unironically); its actually crazy that I saw it when I was starting to lack in the creative variety department, THESE THINGS JUST KINDA WORK OUT. aren't ads/commercials and microtransactional games targeting children illegal in numerous countries. As far as i know no one should be marketing any product to children (as mentioned in the video that they don't have the proper sense of critique and cave into these scams)

a decent hidden gem that i have been playing for years is jtoh. too many kids go to the hardest tower expecting to do it first try, and then leave when they fail the 5th jump. if you go from the easiest to the hardest, it gets super fun.

3:16 You hit the nail on the head with TWB. I personally know the developer of this game and actively moderate its discord atm. He makes tons of games out of pure passion and never has the pure intention to monetize them. His most recent game has gamepasses, sure, but he makes it because he wants to, alongside Yayuzzo. (Still waiting for the game to come back tho. When does the passion return :sob:) The game itself actually had most of its growth before it had its first gamepass.

Do you think making one of these cheap games and slowly inching to your actual Intention for the game would work? Like making something like gauntlet simulator and slowly inching it more and more towards a TOH inspired platformer before finally announcing an entire rework of the entire game.

2:18, now, I've played most of these bad games and 99% of the time it's not the kids buying the pets, it's the whales that high player counts invite so they can look cool infront of said kids. You basically never see kids with the best pets, a couple gamepasses they begged for at most.

this is the most based roblox video I have ever seen. I only occasionally play roblox and the one thing that consistently stops me from playing the game is the "charts" menu. It is literally the only way to find games (aside from external sources) and all the games feel like baby sensory videos. I wish there were a more dynamic system for each user that dictated what games were shown. If there are laws around collecting data from minors at least have it for 18+ users. I will say though finding hidden gems is really hype when it happens. edit: commented before making it to the end, better discovery looks hype I hope it gets more attention

Robot 64 is GREAT. The problem with it is, you dont really have too much to do after completing the game. So I think it died because nobody wanted to play it anymore. It still has around 80 daily players.

My theory: you can pump out shitty games faster using a proven formula (ie, Simulators, Tycoons, Obbys) and succeed over someone who spends years working on a quality game and got shit on by Roblox because they’re not getting promoted.
