Gravel grid driveway installation

In this video we show how a gravel grid system can be used to create a gravel driveway which can take the load of a vehicle without the gravel moving which saves raking of gravel where on a normal gravel driveway you would create tracks. There is no movement of the gravel when moving over it or even when turning. We used the 'ECODEC 500' square grids in this video and filled them with 10mm golden flint gravel. We would definitely recommend this method when having a gravel installed.

What made you choose this system over others? I've read some reviews where these systems start buckling when the sun shines on it and the grid starts to rise up a little and once that happens there's no way to get it back down.

should you be able to see the grid once the stones are placed or should there be a few mm above the grid? planning mine now and i dont think i want to see the grid through the stones

That's some nice flat gravel. First time I've seen that stuff being installed on YouTube. Never heard of a "spazzle"! Now I want one

What would you recommend on a solid concrete base (which cant be removed) - Can the membrane go straight on top? (For garden furniture area not driveway) Thanks!

A neighbor of mine installed a grid system and had crushed gravel used to fill/cover it and now he has weeds growing through it that can't be pulled. He is constantly using spray products to try and make it look better.

Good job. Question, for the sub base and car traffic is your recomendation at the start for the sub base enough to cover the weight of a car e.g will it sink over time? Would a concrete base (although maybe more expensive) be better? Thanks 👍

Are these good for keeping water out? We have had a new build and I wanted channels but our landscaper wants to gravel grid the sides of the house? A lot of water floods and he stated that this will stop the water sitting etc., I love channels but he states this is more effective

How does this compare cost wise to block paving, as the sub-base is pretty much identical, does the grid and the shingle cost as much as blocks ? Was this something you priced and compared.
