Fun fact. When they walk into that computer room, you see a large console with a bunch of flashing lights. That was actually the maintenance console for the NORAD SAGE (Air Defense) computer system (The IBM AN/FSQ-7). Mind you this was only a maintenance console - the actual computer filled a large room with large cabinets full of vacuum tubes and a ferrite core memory system. When the Air Force shut these systems down, Hollywood bought some of the stuff to use as props and just wired the lights to flash randomly. Back in the 70's I was a maintenance man on this system. It's fun to see it show up in movies and on various TV shows.

Includes my favorite "Columbo" line. "How you get to the point without really ever getting to the point"

Glad to see a show from the 1970s still popular today. Columbo is truly one of the great TV shows ever written.

When Columbo waits for an answer with his finger on his lips and looking straight at you, it's really not good for you.

I love the way Columbo casually walks all over the crime scene and interviews the suspects without Miranda or any type of recording except his notebook and someone else’s pencil. I like it when he smiles, he has the loveliest smile, his whole face lights up.

This is a great example of why this and the whole Columbo series still hold so well, even after so many decades!! Peter Falk was born for this. I am grateful and happy to see as much as I can of his series.

This is the peak of Falk's most perfect characterization of Columbo. Calm, calculating, speaking quietly, sometimes just above a whisper. Before the later NBC ones and the ABC ones where he started slipping into kind of a caricature of Columbo.

I like how columbo uses the headlights as a decoy here. He already knows that the headlights aren't actually necessary to make his point. He just wants to see how he reacts to it.

The computer system has less logic than the phone in your hand.
