1) I generally switch between virtual machines and a standalone computer from the virus's time period depending on whether or not the effect requires either type of machine.

2) if it works, i'll test it, but there's not too much stuff out there that's not for ms-dos/windows.

Hey Dan. Curious, wasn't there another variant of Worm.Win32 Netsky that threw up message boxes that said "Windows has detected an internet attack attempt" I remember getting a worm like this in 2007 that has the same name as this one, but the payload wasn't the speaker beeping. Just fake pop ups.

Hello, I wanted to ask 2 questions about your series.

1.) Exactly what system/set up do you use for most of these videos? I mean are most of them ran out of a modern machine using virtual machine or do you have a dedicated system for your videos? (with the exception of a few systems showcased before)

2.) Do you plan by any chance cover any of the more obscure Operating Systems and their viruses? I would love to see some action with OS/2, BeOS, and so on? Just curious..

Netsky had the courtesy to display an ad for itself. Blank white screen, extreme earrape, and finally crashing youtube. Not sure if it was actually meant to be on youtube or if I misread, but the heading said NetSky, from my point of view.
