Today I got my first turkey. With my car. Hit a young hen and felt bad about it. Turned around and put her in the back of my vehicle then continued on to my shopping. After putting my groceries away, I watched your video, then out to the garage I went. Thankfully, none of my neighbors decided to walk their dogs past my house. HOA would've loved that. Thanks to you, I now have meat for tomorrow's supper in my fridge. Watching your video made it easy, and I sure do appreciate that. God bless.

To anyone out there leaving legs in the field your shorting yourself out of some great eats. Look up hank shaw's Turkey leg recipies. I save mine and make carnitas out of them. They are now one of my favorite parts of the bird. Good luck to everyone this spring if you get one try a new recipe with the legs in your crock pot and you won't be disappointed.

What a waste! So much more meat on that animal. You call yourself a hunter? That's sad you're more concerned about a trophy than food! Makes true hunters look bad!

I don’t hunt…. Just watching in case of the apocalypse

But what about the rest of the meat.
Fried breast meat is great, but the dark meat makes great breakfast sausage too.

Harvest the dark meat. Cook in a pressure cooker for 90 minutes with game stock and mushrooms, the best turkey you will ever eat.

Don't waste the leg meat! If you like long- lasting chewy jerky, you'll never find a tastier meat. To harvest this meat leave the legs attached to carcass-its easier to skin and then work the meat off the leg bones with a sharp fillet knife. Any good jerky recipe works with wild birds. Gives you something to chew on while waiting for an old bird to show up

The leg meat is amazing and there’s a decent amount even on seemingly smaller turkeys. 8 hours in the crockpot and you have BBQ pulled turkey. AMAZING.
DONT WASTE EM!

Just did this. First time. Your video made it all possible. It looks so intimidating, but It was actually easier than you make it out to be!
Great video. Thank you.
Now we need a recipe for Turkey breast!

been hunting turkey for maybe 10 yrs now. That was the most training and information in processing the turkey I've had. Seems each have their own way abouts going at it. Thank you Michael! Appreciate you taking the time, and listening to your fans needs. Thats what seperates Bone Collector from the rest; personable and genuine professionals. I know for myself, I'd follow you through any piece of woods!

Great job Marvin Wafflehouse! Lol. I love those old Foxworthy Incomplete deer hunter videos.

I'm old fashioned I reckon. I eat the whole 🦃. Even the giblets. And make calls from the wingbones. And a wild whole bird brines much better than a domestic.

This is a great video. I guarantee this helped someone and kept some Turkey from being wasted.

Idk...I keep the whole bird...feet off, head off, take off your beard and fan, then dip into boiling water, couple dips you can pull all the feathers out easy as pie and you have the whole bird like from the grocery store, skin on so you can slip butter underneath for roasting.
