International Day of Happiness 2022: CHOOSE TO HELP

March 20th is the UN International Day of Happiness. With our world facing unprecedented challenges, wellbeing matters more than ever.

When we choose to take action to help others, they benefit, we benefit and we set an example of kindness that can ripple out into the world too.

As much as I sympathise with the sentiment behind this video surely the best way to help Ukraine in the context of an International Day of Happiness is to support efforts to negotiate a peaceful end to this conflict rather than provide support for the Ukrainians to fight on in a war they cannot win (however right their cause might be), bringing more death and destruction to their country and possibly to the whole world if the conflict escalates into WW3.. As the song goes, give peace a chance!

I have rarely seen such an inspirational speaker. And you've hit just the right tone. I feel morally obliged to watch the news every day, as if I don't, that means I don't care, that I'm turning the other cheek. Turning powerlessness into actions, however small, is the answer. I have donated to the Red Cross and sent a message via AFH app to people in Ukraine. Small tokens, but a sense of purpose and common humanity. Let's not forget too, the ordinary, peace-loving Russians who have no say in this nightmare.
