Wow🙂Before the 2013 Kenyan elections, Johnny Carson, who at the time was US Assistant Secretary of State, stated that "Choices have Consequences, " which was taken to mean that Kenyans, at the time, should elect Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as President and Deputy President, rather than Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto as President and Deputy President, otherwise there would be "consequences." And then after the Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto were sworn into office on 9th April 2013 as Kenyan President and Kenyan Deputy President, respectively, local Kenyan media and international media, created the impression that both Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto stood the possibility of being found guilty at the International Criminal Court (ICC), at the time, for the pending cases at the time that both men had at the ICC regarding crimes against humanity.

However, between the year 2013, and today, in the year 2024:

1. America's 44th President, Barack Obama hosted Kenya's 4th President, Uhuru Kenyatta, and Kenya's then 1st lady, Margaret Kenyatta, at the White House, three different times, if I remember correctly, if not twice;

2. America's 44th President, Barack Obama, visited Kenya in 2015, the 1st sitting US President in history, to visit Kenya;

3. America's 45th President, Donald Trump, hosted Uhuru Kenyatta and 1st lady Margaret Kenyatta at the White House, two different times;

4. America's then Secretary of State, John Kerry, visited Kenya in 2015 and 2016;

5. America's then Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, visited Kenya in either 2017 or 2018;

6. America's then 1st lady, Melania Trump visited Kenya in 2018;

7. America's current 1st lady, Dr. Jill Biden, visited Kenya in 2022;

8. America's current Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, visited Kenya in either 2021 or 2022;

9. Kenya's current President, William Ruto and Kenya's current 1st lady Rachael Ruto, have already been hosted once at the White House since William Ruto was sworn in as Kenya's 5th President on 13th September 2022, and there above again, are President Ruto and 1st lady Rachel, getting 1st class treatment at the White House from US President Joe Biden and US 1st lady Dr. Jill Biden, in the 1st State visit by a Kenyan President to the USA, since that of Kenya's 3rd President, Mwai Kibaki, and Kenya's then 1st lady, Lucy Kibaki, of October 2003. The visit above too, is the 1st visit State visit to the USA by an African Head of State in 16 years.

Very interesting, for two men, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto, that is, who it was made appear, would be "locked up" by the International Criminal Court (ICC), on or after the year 2013🙂
