I feel there wasn't enough build up in the video, and it lacks that climax. She smiled a bit after she handed out a lot of those papers, then she's back at that beach looking so lost, it's a bit confusing. I feel it lacks a background story to it, I don't know what the deal is with the girl, whatever story she had that made her give out those papers to strangers, is all in her head, and I know she's thinking about it when she walks on the beach, but I just don't know what it is. Therefore I couldn't really feel for her.

I was watching a video of Emeli's performance of this at the Olympics, and there was a video compilation of athletes breaking into tears as she begins to sing, " Yes, we're all wonderful, wonderful people..." And I feel it's just perfect. In fact, for a moment I thought those were live reaction to the performance by the athletes present. The expressions were just spot on, and I thought to myself, if I were one of the Olympic athlete present during that performance I'd react that way.
