John Pershing was a guest at my Mothers family's home in El Paso. TX in 1917...He was a friend of her uncles when they were Rough Riders together. He said Pancho Villa made monkeys out of them. In Hawai’i, if you’re not a Dem, you’ll never succeed in politics, hence: Tulsi Gabbard. Her father, Mike Gabbard was an Independent <2004 Rep 2004-2007 & Dem from 2007 when he finally got elected as a Hawai’i Senator where he’s been an incumbent ever since; if you want to get into politics in Hawai’i, you have to be a Dem. Her father’s path likely informed her. She is intelligent and pragmatic…I’d say calculating, but that’s a bit too negative of a connotation. But, there’s something about her that concerns me. I can’t quite figure it out. But, maybe it’s related to the fact that she WANTS to be in politics and she wears her military service on her sleeve a bit much. But, I’d feel gratified if she were in high office. You can’t get perfect people in any event. And think she’s less flawed than most all others in that arena.
