During the first half of the 20th century, Korea was under Japan. A lot of Korean men were conscripted in the Japanese Imperial Army. Philippines was invaded and occupied by Japan. You have heard of Asian comfort women. I am willing to bet the "Japanese" soldiers who raped countless Filipinas and fathered a lot of children in the Philippines were actually Korean men serving in the Japanese Imoerial Army. If anybody would care and do an ancestry check, they can ascertain DNA if indeed Japanese or Korean.
