Have you ever wondered if there is a difference between solid body and chambered HH2x??? I own two guitars so I tried to show you sound of it.
There IS difference or there IS NO difference?
Check and comment, please

Wider question: do type of wood and hardware have influence on electric guitar sound at all?? Maybe it's only question of pickups and "hand"???...

This was an incredibly useful tonewood comparison to me. Thanks so much, for doing it!

One of the greatest guitars by -one of- the best player of all time.

The solid body seems easier to control, the chambered one has more mids and is tonally only good if the sound can be controlled, I guess I know why Allan wanted Chambered, there is a certain violin like feel you get under your fingers under the right gain settings.

Excellent, great test. Yes options matter.

I hear some of spiky tone roll off a bit on chamber body which is make sense about more spiky on solid body.

But maybe because of difference of body wood (alder, mahogany), anyway thanks for review with nice clarity sound.

I would be curious to hear them played acoustically, or even rapped with knuckles on the top. What comes out of the guitar cable is what gets heard by the audience, but a lot of the appeal of semi-hollows is the feel I get when playing them as far as note response and attack is concerned.
