Jordan will be excited to know that Mark Lindsay is part Cherokee (1/8). He (as part of Paul Revere and the Raiders) sang 'Indian Reservation"--which would be a good followup to this song. Also, the guy who wrote "Indian Reservation" also wrote Cher's hit song "Half Breed"--definitely Female Friday Friendly!

As someone who's lived his entire life in Arizona, I can tell you this is a great song. Mark Lindsay was the lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders. They had a great hit in the early 70s called "Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian)".

Dear Jay/Jordan and Amber, I just want to take a moment and tell you two that you make me smile everyday. I watch your videos and I think to myself, what a great couple, what a great family! You truly have a beautiful family... You are young and beautiful inside and out, both of you and your lovely girls and that beautiful new baby boy, so so fabulous. Thanks for all you do but if you guys ever wanted to make fewer videos, you know because you have so much else going on in your lives, with taking care of each other and doing the normal day-to-day stuff, I would understand. I guess what I'm trying to say is please don't overdo it because you feel like your viewers want lots of reactions... We love you guys either way. Again, thanks for making me smile 😁

Oh, if you like the peace, love, hippie vibe, check out Scott McKenzie’s “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers in Your Hair).” It’s an homage to the Summer of Love.

Another great rock band I grew up with from the 60's-70's was Paul Revere & The Raiders. Mark Lindsay was their lead singer & he did the song "Arizona" as a solo. They were known for including Revolutionary War-style clothes in their attire. The band had their first hit in 1961 with the instrumental "Like, Long Hair". "Indian Reservation" was one of their biggest hits in 1971. But they had a lot of great songs such as "Just Like Me", "Kicks", "Hungry", "Let Me", "Arizona", "Mr. Sun, Mr. Moon", "Good Thing", "Him Or Me - What's It Gonna Be?" etc.

Mark Lindsay/Paul Revere and the Raiders got their start in the Pacific NW playing from Eugene OR to Bellingham WA, and over to Boise ID. In the early 1960s, roller rinks often doubled as music venues. In 1963, when I was 13, I 'worked' behind the skate counter at Skateland in Olympia WA (fixed skates, handed them out during sessions, etc. and the rink owner then bought me a pair of skates and paid for my lessons in lieu of paying me, since it wasn't legal for me to actually be an employee.) Anyway, that summer of '63, Mark Lindsay/Paul Revere and the Raiders came to Skateland. I helped them unload and set up for the performance. Once it was all done, Mark Lindsay asked me if they could skate for a while, since there was still about an hour before the doors opened. So, I put them on skates and we skated around together for about a half hour--it was a lot of fun for a 13 year old kid to hang out like that with Mark L./PR+R.

Arizona wasn't my favorite song of his. I think my favorite was Kicks.

You must react to Indian Reservation by Paul Revere and the Raiders. Mark does a beautiful job on the vocals and it’s a tribute to the Cherokee nation being put on the reservations.

Mark was the lead singer for Paul Revere and the Raiders. A fun band with several big hits: Kicks, Good Thing, Indian Reservation, and of course Snoopy vs the Red Baron.

He's most famous for his time with Paul Revere & the Raiders..fun band with big hits in the mid-60's. I saw them live when I was about 13, got some good pics of Mark in his Revolutionary War outfit with his beautiful hair tied back in that famous ponytail.
"Just Like Me".."Kicks"..."Steppin' Out"...all are worth a reaction.💙☮💙

Mark was a major heart throb back in the day. I have loved him since he was the lead singer with Paul Revere and the Raiders. They were a fun group to watch on a variety show called Where the Action is (you can find some scenes on youtube). My sister and her friend took me at ten years old or so to see them in concert. It wasn't a major venue as they were just starting out. He made me so happy when he winked at me. I will never forget that. Mark was also a regular on the Carpenters tv show and he also toured with them. He also plays the saxophone. Check out Indian Reservation by Paul Revere and the Raiders. Mark is part Indian. There are some that say he isn't, but he really is. Loved this reaction!

I grew up and grew old in ARIZONA! Lived in Tucson 1968-2022. I moved to Southern California and miss AZ so bad. I remember this song on the radio and it still plays in my mind and on my youtube quite often. Thank you for the analysis. I am glad you like it too. I enjoy people's comments as well.

I moved from Oklahoma (Tulsa area) to Phoenix in 98 and have not regretted it one bit. Mild winters not much hotter in summer than Oklahoma. Beautiful place to live. And no tornadoes. Please react to Blood Sweat and Tears, GOD BLESS THE CHILD, ALBUM VERSION. HORNS GALORE🔥💯
