Theory time! I think the hex was the omen for the cataclysm in some form. It almost aounded like it was saying it in track 2. In its last appearance, being the hoola and gnarls video, someone pointed out that the hex is in the wondermine. This could insinuate the hex is gone or something like that. The final DOF video is the continent splitting apart. The hex knew, so it left only to be forgotten by history. The final two videos could be the aftermath as it shows both amber and gold island, each containing all the monsters who were in DOF. The whispers at 6:00 could also mean the hex is returning in a future update? Who knows, that's just a theory.

Guys i have a theory, this might be official and might be an official arg from the monster handlers, judging by mentions to the cataclysm which might be related to the island essences we keep finding in our vaults in dof and the hex could still be a real leak and could be released with anniversary month coming up soon and the 2 island teased it could come on as it would have the fire element and it would just plain make sense on gold island as the penultimate monster on gold island.

Just in case anyone was somehow wondering, the whispers in this vid don't appear to visualize anything specific when put into a spectrogram. Probably a bit stupid to even say that, but I tried this myself earlier and thought I'd warn anyone also wondering
