It reminds me of school, when we'd call each other gay. If you did anything that is gay in the slightest, you were 100% gay, even if it was forced on you, you did it by accident, and you weren't into it at all. You could still act straight, but that was ignored, because that one moment made you gay for life. Not even bi. Just 150% gay with a 50% margin of error.

Social media removes context and magnifies the reaction to actions/events/statements. It's like a group of people talking, gossiping and twisting information(willingly or not) except enhanced by a factor of a billion, with reactions popping up instantly and opinions formed in nanoseconds.

About the line of thinking being used only with negative things, there's another aspect: That person lost the "benefit of the doubt". Until that moment you could still TRUST him/her. From the moment you found out you've been lied to, robbed or anything else, that person must regain your trust, if possible at all. It's the "innocent until proven guilty" idea put in practice.

Then it turned into "black" then it turned into "African I have a few friends from Nigeria that get pissed when they hear "African American" hahahaha.... I totally understand why, but they still get pissed, They're like " I don't like those black dudes selling dope at the gas station - especially those black women", lol - it's 100% true It's crazy I have a friend from Nigeria that I worked as a consultant with and we just became friends and he is terrified of US black folks - he got jumped or robbed or something and he is TERRIFIED of black people and he's black.... Look, my point is that one cant just go around destroying and expect a favorable outcome - this poor dude was terrified.
