I never heard of a battle where chaining ships is a good idea.

To y’all who keep saying that chaining ships is a stupid idea that never works: the people of the past weren’t idiots. If the tactic never worked, they’d have stopped using it very quickly. Instead, we see it used across centuries, cultures, and continents, so there has to be some merit to it (just because many people know that Zeppelins were dangerous due to the infamous Hindenburg disaster, it doesn’t mean that the people of the past were stupid for flying on zeppelins)

When u chain your ships but your name isn't Caesar:

The mistake is that he didn’t make circumvellation around the Yuan to prevent the 2nd fleet from linking up.

The profile pictures of Shijie and Hongfan is wrong and reversed. Shijie who is obviously Song is somehow wearing Mongolia clothes

Song dynasty was divided into two parts, the Northern and the Southern, the Northern regime was destroyed by the jurchen Jin Dynasty after sacking the capital, Southern regime was destroyed by the Mongols.. ironically the Mongols and the jurchens created the two foreign dynasties that controlled china Yuan (Mongols) and Qing (Manchus were descendants of the jurchens)

Could you please cover Cao Cao’s northern expedition and campaigns against the Yuan and the northern tribe c. 200-205? Cao Cao’s a brilliant war tactician! 😊

Chaining together your ships seems like...not a grand plan

Why didn’t they just un-chain their ships

So what happened to the boy emperor - did he grew up with farmers and later took his revenge - or did they just never found him?

Weren't they supposed to learn the lesson of 'chained ships' from the Battle of Chibi???
Has that tactic ever really worked?

If the Loyalist decided to go on the offense from the get go they might actually had a decent chance of winning, for a while at least.

Brilliant. Lol starve them out. Could you imagine sitting their for two weeks losing rations and having no bathrooms, showers, etc? You'd feel gross and miserable and exhausted then you had to fight. Lol to heck with that!
