Unless you have a local vendor/tea shop, you WILL spend a lot for good quality grade powder. The problem with matcha, is that you're only getting less than 2oz of powder. I hardly splurge on Matcha and when I get decent branded stuff, I only make lattes. If you're a green tea enthusiast though, Japanese green teas are a world all their own!

If you're ever in Sweden, stay clear of the matcha latte from Espresso house. They premix matcha with some sort of sugar. I felt it was way to sweet so I asked from 3x matcha in it, but that just meant 3x sugar 🤢

The generic Matchas off amazon are def disgusting, unless its a name brand "selling" on Amazon. Ive been drinking the Encha Matcha brand for yearssss now which i buy slightly cheaper off Amazon than direct.

I'd choose Ippodo's if i really wanted to splurge. They are imported from Japan and that quality is just unmatched in my opinion. Been a matcha drinker for 7-8 years+ now and tasting an Ippodo matcha is heavely! Super earthy!

Not a fan of your Mei Leaf Matcha (no offense, lol), as I compare it to Encha which i feel tastes great and has more value than the Masters.

Id be surprised to see you test an Encha matcha just to see your take. I buy it every single month for years now so I guess i stack up everything to this brand now.

I will def buy another round of your Masters matcha when i make an order next time i do so.

Not sure which you got from Amazon as the highest rated might just be basic Matcha, the most expensive was OMG AAA+? Ive bought Moya and Doctor King from Amazon, both are nice matchas, i still prefer Dons though.

That oxidized Amazon most popular one seemed to be doomed from the start!
I tried various Amazon matchas, and even at their best, they're more bitter and less balanced than the master and ceremonial selections from mei leaf throughout the past few years.
Personally, I tend to prefer the ceremonial over the master one from mei leaf, by the way. They're similar, but the ceremonial tends to be fruitier/sweeter somehow?

Thank you for your informative videos I’ve learned so much. I recently ordered matcha from your online store and it was on sale, which is great. I’m curious of the shelf life of your teas on sale, particularly matcha.
It’s easy to presume that matcha on sale is from stock that’s been around a bit longer to make room for the fresher harvest. Please explain how that works. Thank you very much I appreciate all your videos and information you supply via email and social media.
