Watch Eric Johnson's BEST TONE OF THE NIGHT on his 1964 Gibson SG during the 2023 Treasure Tour in support of his latest album, "The Book of Making/Yesterday Meets Today." Eric played a full acoustic set followed by a ripping electric set. While his Strat was heavily represented, it was perhaps his GIBSON SG that stole the show in terms of BEST TONE.

Man when I listen to Eric. I seriously think he's the Best guitarist on earth. The man poor's himself into it. His sound is Uniquely his and he is just the real deal. There is a list of great guitar players I absolutely have to say Eric and Roscoe Beck (bass) play off each other perfectly. I don't know how long the Drummer has been with the Trio.

He uses signature EJ pickups by Dimarzio which are low output more like single coils output, not stock Gibson SG pickups

No surprise. Never really cared much for strats. Humbuckers are much fuller, better sounding pickups to me.

The lazy timing of drummer…i dont understand what is the purpose of this kind playing together…others cant play with the drummer…so difficult timing…maybe the purpose is to have a illusion of a poor playing, starting pop band?it sounds like that…you hate it or you love it?
