In this episode , i go on a collecting trip to find and learn more about the creeks in my area ,Mckinney Texas, I am able to collect and identify a few native and introduced species, Such as the Plains Killifish, Fundulus Zebrinus. and some mosquito fish as well. I was also lucky enough to find a few plants! i may have located and identified a type of hair grass, and im almost positive i was able to collect some Najas Grass, also known as guppy grass. All of the fish collected are doing well, and most of the plants are too, the guppy grass and mosses are growing and looking great the hair grass is transitioning now, expect updates in the future!

Thanks for watching! i hope you enjoyed!

Awesome. I have found all of the native fish in North Texas but this one. It is my current quest. Thanks for posting this video. It gives me an idea of what habitat they live in.

Brings back great memories of exploring creeks as a kid, kids don't ever get to experience this anymore.

great video Kyle, we have the same tds ph meters, and they are great. me and the Mrs's hit our streams and small ponds up in Ohio all the time. we have yet to collect any fish, mostly rocks and wood. we like just being out, and seeing what's growing around us.

Have always wanted to collect locally but am terrified of gators here in Florida. Will have to click up with some of the more experienced collectors in my club first. Great vid as always Kyle 👍.

How do you deworm fish before putting them in your pond?

Maybe a sunfish would be good for a predator cull Tank??

Just a thought....when useing the net in those trenches, why not have the second net you have ahead of the big one to drive them into the big one? Might work! I love doing stuff like this! Wish I had someone close to me to go with! More fun with company!

If this isn't the GoPro hero than what is it! I love the footage. Also got me a PanasonicG7 I love it. Looks like some hair grass. Nice score man. I want to find me a creek near by but I'm in Delaware and I'm a new local to the area. Where are you? That was some cool fossilized rock brother. Nice video!
