a good idea could be cleaning the fan 😆there is no automation for that yet haha

Add a VOC Sensor to automatically switch on the fan if it detects a sudden rise of volatile organic compounds 😉. Works well in small bathrooms…

The iPhone has a home button. For a second I thought the video was from 2017

I personally attatched a door sensor to the lid and seat of my toilet. When I open it, it turns on the fan and a wax melter to melt some scented wax. When I close the seat it turns on a mini air purifier. If I only need to do number 1, then I just lift both the seat and lid so the sensor doesn't go off.

but then when you leave you still need to turn off the fan and light manually?

What do you call that little shelf Where you have the speaker? Does it come in black

Ok so light goes on when you Open the door. But wouldnt it instantly to off when you close it, which one normaly does when you are inside. So how do you proceed After?

also add a few Arduino contraptions to make your toilet smart (auto-flush, auto seat open/close, etc), and connect them to Apple HomeKit
This will make your bathroom even smarter:)

That switch by smart reality can it be installed over a regular fan or light switch without changing the default switch I have in place? Does the smart switch actually pull the native switch leveler up and down?

Have the smart speaker play the toilet music from the South Park bidet episode.

Also, add a bidet.

I did mine a little different. A Smart switch for the fan with a 15 minute countdown timer when it’s manually triggered for stinky moments so you can leave and the fan will turn off after it’s done. An Aqara temp/humidity sensor that turns the fan on when the humidity goes over 60% and turns it off once it’s below 50% for the showering.

I have a aqara fp1e presence sensor in my Bathroom. For me this is a much better solution for turning on or off the lights than a door contact

Please make an update video about the fan. That’s all we really care about.

If you can afford it I would recommend getting a new iPhone (this is my first vid of you that I’ve seen so idk if it’s a backup phone or something) but with the latest Apple models you can use features like Dynamic Island and action button to help your smart home be a little more seamless.

They have light sensors that turn on automatically when they sense motion? One product vs 4, you choose.

Ha... come on, I would expect more. Take the switches to either Aqara or Lutron. Put a temp/humidity sensor (mine is aqara) and put a presence sensor. Use the presence sensor to detect is someone is on the porcelain palace for more than 2 minutes it will turn on the bath fan and run for 20 minutes after they exit. The humidity and temperature sensor can be used when taking a shower so when the humidity raises to "above average" for that time of year, the fan turns on too. The presence sensor is also used to identify the first time you are in front of the vanity for more than 15 seconds and the home pod tells you your daily planner and the weather.

Is it really too much to flip the switch by hand as you enter and leave? I see no benefit for this in a bathroom. Other areas its useful sense you are not always passing the light switch.

My fan just runs 24/7/365 silently except when the light is turned on

That is a lav microphone. The clip is for attaching to your clothes. That will help you avoid those audio issues with your plosives.
