How To Create Multiple Copies of a File in Google Drive

Learn how to create multiple copies of a file on Google Drive Automatically. This trick is made possible by utilising Google Scripts.

This is particularly useful when you need multiple copies of a file for sharing or reporting and do not want to waste time right' clicking before creating a copy.

Here's how you make a copy (as of 2024). On the left-hand side there's a menu running up the side. The top option is the Info button (an "i" inside of a circle). Click that. Then at the top right, just underneath your account picture, there's a Copy symbol (2 docs overlapping). Click it. It'll pop up the dialogue to give it permission and you'll need to click Advanced and give it permission even though it doesn't like CopyDoc. Hope that helps.

Hi, thank you, this was really usefull. I need to know if there is a way in Drive to have an original document, multiplicate this original document (in 40 copies for example) and then edit de original document and at the same the edition in the original could change in the other documents?
