"Wild at heart". V.Hänin
"It’s easy to get excited about this. Primarily because the vocal is so resistant to the cliqued charms of soulfulness. So much so that Wild Child tells its own story as abundant, fiery attitude explodes with devilish charm across tough, infectious synthesized motifs and fevered drum machines. And the craziness only gets really crazy the further you get into it. I get the impression Alan Vega would have approved. The contrasting and first-rate remix comes from a low-slung Daniel Zuur who drives the kick drums and sounds in telling fashion, plus there is also an instrumental version of the original should the voices scare too much."

Lagardere drops a dancefloor bomb once again, but this time it’s not as innocent as a pure danceable deeply well crafted track. “Wild Child” is a song, a song like a bluesy nightish lullaby which sounds like an inner ritual, aiming to push yourself to go back to this wild native instinct that we maybe have been forced to hide to fit in today’s society.
Art, music are tools which need this wildness, and need to be fed by this imagination which was flowing through our brains without any boundaries when we were children.
Lagardere’s distinctive and unique vocals, in between rock and deep electro, are floating in a delicious kind of mad melodies layering - till this unique heavy bass break that you won’t forget for sure! - summing up in a way what his musical creations are all about and moreover what he is all about, his inner wild child singing loud Lagardere’s motto: “always stay wild at heart, never surrender to conformity, stay connected to your wildest dreams.”
Your inner “Wild Child” will for sure guide you to untamed territories!
Daniel Zuur, an emblematic figure from Amsterdam electronic scene, talented producer and live composer, who released numerous tracks on established labels like Katermukke, Manual Music, Cinema, and on his own label Zauer Records, delivers a super powerful remix, which definitely sounds like a musical discussion with his inner “Wild Child”.
