Fabric makers work amazingly on synthetic hair! If you really want to add the roots, I would just suggest a brown fabric maker. I’ve been using that method for years just make sure to shake the maker with the lid on good before using it.

Any kind of alcohol markers for the roots. Like sharpy, copic, etc. then a bit if heat and hair spray to seal. Its a really good way ro give definition/ shading to cosplay wigs and stuff like that.

Chalk pastel paints work work well to shade the roots. Just scrape some chalk off to make a powder and apple with small paintbrush. You can get a really diffuse shading effect with it

Hiiii. tip from fellow doll lover! I re-rooted a doll and wanted brown roots: what I did was I took a fabric marker, and an eyeshadow brush. I placed the product onto the brush and very carefully brushed it through the roots! it came out great.

Fabric markers work really well for roots but if you want any fades into other colors in the future Rit fabric dye works great on nylon hair not sure about suran. Ari looks great as all your dolls do, and do a chappel roan doll at some point that would be fun lol 😂❤️🏳️‍🌈💅

Sharpie has so many light brown colors that you can honestly use them to add the root. You can start light, and then go darker and darker towards the root to give it more dimension. and since it's alcohol, it should stain the hair just like it would human hair, although it does come out of human hair quicker, it might never come out with it being synthetic hair.

If you’re worried about fabric marker, which is really the best idea, you could also use a little bit of brown soft pastel chalk. You take a small paintbrush to the dry chalk and gently rub it onto the roots, I would suggest lightly taping the excess of off the brush first.

Honestly, to make the roots, any brown washable marker is perfect because you can get it out easily and it’s super easy. I do it all the time if I want to color her hair
