some of those big resin shavings in clear resin would look really cool.

I was originally going for a bowling pin or the largest of a set of Russian nesting dolls but a lamp works too.. I would really love to see a set of wood bottomed and resin Russian nesting dolls.

I love how your wife looked at it and thought “I want to see it glow!” That’s loving support right there!

Those enormous ribbons from drilling the core out look like a good project in the future. Man that little light came out fantastic.

This turned out so well Ben, fantastic job as always. Credit to Nicole for coming up with the idea and yourself for the skill to make it real! I was sure you were making a goblet, right up until the reveal of the wire. Can't wait to see the next excess resin project 👍🏻

Oooooh, I wish I had the money for that, those gorgeous colors lift the depression out of my poor soul. Beautiful.

Looking really good. The blank reminded of stained glass, this finished work was just the thing.

Before you pulled out the bulb, it gave me the idea of using something like this as a water cup for my desk, definitely more interesting looking than a simple glass!

My very first thought when I saw the blank was "that would make the most perfect 70s lamp I've ever seen!" 😁😁

Unbelievable what you can do with resin and wood, you have the spirit to create true art out of something.

Looks great Ben. For next time, why not a bowl. Get a deep, wide container and after about 3 or so inches, add a waste block and keep filling until the total thickness makes for a decent size. The initial pours would make for some tight layers due to the overall size of the container. Also, since they'll be so thin, torch the tops of those layers to avoid bubbles. Maybe even tilt it like you did this one while you pour. I liked that effect

So pretty! I could see three or four of those as pendant lights over a dining room table.
