Was thinking of that 'unique' guitar intro, then had to sing the lyrics to myself to get the track, haha

I've been playing guitar for 20yrs and it's all Comfortably Numb and Tornado of Souls that are always in the Top 10 of guitar solos. Why isn't this solo ever in these? It's all about feel and emotions and my goodness, I feel this👊👊🔥👍

Neal Schon's outro solo, I never get tired of it. There's almost an otherworldly feel to it.

I wasn’t the biggest Journey fan during this time, I was into harder rock groups. That said, this is my favorite Journey song, hands down. Neal Schon’s guitar work in this song is beautiful, and this is one of my favorite guitar solos, ever !

This song is so BADASS... The open road and the roar of an American V8, can only enhance it.

Ross Valory..underrated for his great bass playing and good vocal harmonies.

Those crazy nights, I do remember in my youth
I do recall, those were the best times, most of all
In the heat with a blue jean girl
Burnin' love comes once in a lifetime
She found me singing by the rail road track
Took me home, we danced by moonlight

Those summer nights are callin',
Stone in love
Can't help myself I'm fallin'
Stone in love

Old dusty roads, led to the river
Runnin' slow
She pulled me down, and in clover
We'd go 'round
In the heat with a blue jean girl
Burnin' love comes once in a lifetime
Oh the memories never fade away
Golden girl, I'll keep you forever.

Those summer nights are callin',
Stone in love
Can't help myself I'm fallin'
Stone in love

if your girl likes pop music & you like hard rock this is usually the song that makes you both happy! We love the the killer guitar riffs, They love Steve's voice!
(Well we do to but, you know what I mean)

Funny that so many thought of Journey as just a pop/ballad band yet they were such talented musicians. Schon's always been a favorite of mine.

I never got into journey all that much, but the vocal and lead guitar work on this song are awesome! Those were good times back then when music was from the heart, instead of manufactured, like it is today.

Ross strung his bass B-E-A-D for this album to provide a more solid bottom to the songs. You can hear the huge wallop of a difference in this song and "Who's Crying Now".
