In this enlightening video, renowned apologist Sam Shamoun dives deep into one of the most intriguing topics in the Book of Revelation: the identity and significance of the 144,000 chosen ones. Drawing from Revelation 7:1-8 and Revelation 14:1-5, Sam provides a thorough analysis of these select individuals, who are described as coming from the twelve tribes of Israel.

Why are they special? What do their numbers signify? Why is the tribe of Dan omitted while Levi is included? Sam explores these questions and more, unraveling the symbolic meaning behind the 144,000 as a representation of divine completion and a remnant set apart for salvation.

It’s amazing how little fear of the LORD, many so-called Bible scholars or teachers demonstrate by their willingness to add their speculative interpretations as if the scriptures clearly states them. Scripture clearly says teachers will receive a stricter judgment if by their false teaching they cause people to stumble. I appreciate Sam’s unwillingness to explain very obscure and disputed passages as if he knows clearly what they mean. We’ll know for sure only in eternity. Bless you Sam for your ministry and integrity.

We can not know for certain from these texts who, where, and when people are chosen. And even if it were precisely written. God had his own plans. What we do know is that there are chosen ones. And they are chosen according to Gods will. Bless you all.

So revelation 7:9 -17 talks about a multitude that could not be counted standing in front of the land who had cleansed their robes thru the blood of Jesus. Does that mean that anyone who asks The Lord God Almighty and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for forgiveness and mercy will have salvation besides the 144k Israelites?

7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” 4 Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144, 000 from all the tribes of Israel.

5 From the tribe of Judah 12, 000 were sealed,

from the tribe of Reuben 12, 000,

from the tribe of Gad 12, 000,

6 from the tribe of Asher 12, 000,

from the tribe of Naphtali 12, 000,

from the tribe of Manasseh 12, 000,

7 from the tribe of Simeon 12, 000,

from the tribe of Levi 12, 000,

from the tribe of Issachar 12, 000,

8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12, 000,

from the tribe of Joseph 12, 000,

from the tribe of Benjamin 12, 000.

The fullness of the Gentiles must be fulfilled before the Israelites (144, 000) can be saved. That's why we need to preach the Gosepl. Ya'll if you want Jesus to come again you need to open your mouths! Share your testimonies!

If you read through the list of tribes in Revelation 7, you should notice that this is not a typical list of the twelve tribes of Israel. Dan and Ephraim are missing, while Joseph (the father of Manasseh and Ephraim) and Levite (the priestly tribe that is never counted) are included. What do Dan and Ephraim have in common? They were the two tribes that were the centers of the idol worship created by Jeroboam. Thus this list is not physical Israel, but a list of spiritual Israel -- those who follow God. "For they are not all Israel who are of Israel" (Romans 9:6).

Reflection from Learn Religions

By Mary Fairchild

In 2 Corinthians 9:7, the apostle Paul said, "God loves a cheerful giver." While encouraging the believers in Corinth to give generously, Paul didn't want them to give beyond their means, "reluctantly or under compulsion." Most importantly, he wanted them to rely on their inner convictions. This passage and this devotional are reminders that God is more concerned about the motives of our heart than our actions.

It's good to note Dan was called a serpent on the road by his father. Dan also chose to move north when land was divided up.

Was Dan omitted due to their association with idolatry? Juges 18.... might be the location for the leaving out of Dan's tribe.

Yes, the tribe of Levi, is mentioned here in Revelation chapter 7 because this particular chapter, is not about the allotment of land nor about inheritance, but rather instead the144, 000 (which includes the tribe of Levi), are servants of God ( modern day disciples) who are going to be used by God in the finishing of the work of the gospel in our day. They are called virgins because they possess a pure faith (no guile or untruths, are in their mouths). The 144, 000 of Revelation chapter7, are the same as the 11th hour laborers who finished the work of the gospel in the parable of Matthew 20. The mighty angel of Revelation chapter 18, is the 144, 000 who are commissioned, to call God's people to come out of Babylon. See Revelation chapter 18. Avery may very well be one of the 144, 000 disciples because he speaks the truth of God, indeed. Hallelujah. The guy whose doing the presentation, is also very knowledgeable about what he's saying as well. The 5 wise virgins with the extra oil in the parable of Matthew 25, is the 144, 000 also.

Could it be that the reason Ephraim is not included is because he turn his back on God as mentioned in Hosea 12?

James addressed his letter to "the twelve tribes", who were his "brethren" in the "faith". Who was James talking to in James 1:1-3? On the Day of Pentecost Peter addressed the crowd as "all the house of Israel".
