So yes, as mentioned GMT are publishing my game Red Dust Rebellion and it is off to the printers very shortly. I've decided to go back to covering GMT games, but with a disclaimer. Considering how many people cover games with a direct payment and don't talk about it, well, at least I'm being frank about my biases and conflicts of interest. Therefore you can evaluate the video knowing I'm such a fan boy of the series that i made my own game in it. That said, GMT have not paid for this coverage, and technically haven't paid me a cent for Red Dust Rebellion yet, because i don't get paid until the game actually sells and it's still in pre-order.

Plus, i like wargames, and very few people in non-wargame media seem to. So expect to see more games from GMT, but also Fort Circle games and other publishers in the future.

Having watch your stuff now for almost 5 years, I have no doubt or concern about your integrity. Your message has been the same before RDR I don’t see why that would change.

Love the COIN series of games, such a clever system. Makes you feel like you're telling a story, not just going through the motions of buying units, moving and fighting, and placing reinforcements.

I do appreciate you talking about games that would normally not cross my path. This one does look interesting and has gone into my 'keep an eye out to try it at a convention or pick it up really cheap' list alongside Sekigahara and 878 Vikings

I am so stoked for RDR! Every month when Gene’s newsletter comes out, the first thing I do is scroll all the way down to see if RDR is at the printers yet.

Glad to see you giving coin some love. :-) I know why you hadn't before and it makes sense, but what an awesome series! Looking forward to red dust!

Excellent intro to this game! I didn't think it was possible to reduce it to an explanation under 4 minutes, but you definitely hit it here!

This looks like it will pair well with Season 2 of Blowback. Would love to play games like this, but being stuck in South Africa means it's quite difficult to find these games and also finding people to play them with. That said, I would really like to check out Red Dust Rebellion.

Despite GMT pushing People Power as the new "Red Box" of COIN, I'm glad I started with Cuba Libre, just a bit, well I wouldn't use "easy" but less complex that other COIN games. People Power iis volume XI where CL is volume II so PP is going to have a lot more new stuff from the COIN.
Would you say your game, Red Dust Rebellion has a complexity like CL or Fire In The Lake?

1. I was interested in COIN until this made my eyes cross. Three minutes may be too short to internalize the nuances correctly. I love the asymmetric-ness, but... maybe not tonight.
2. They made a COIN about the cross- Bronx? Interesting. I live and work in neighborhoods that were affected by it all (and can we talk about environmental inequality caused by it even now?) Count me in!... maybe after a good night's sleep and a couple cups of coffee...
